Gifts to Fish and Wildlife Club contribute to...
Our club provides students the opportunities to engage in ethical fishing and hunting. We connect academics with professionals in the Environmental Science field and help build connections within the community that helps get students into positions they might not have been offered outside of this club. Being the Vice president, this club has not only opened many doors for me professional, but also personally. I have met many amazing people in the hunting and fishing community. I have had the opportunity to be involved in citizen science and continue to have doors open that might not have been offered before. The Fish and Wildlife club is looking for donations to help other students, especially those out of state, to lessen the burden of fishing and hunting licenses. Being our first year as a club, we are still looking to build our usable equipment that students can keep on campus and have access to year-round. The donations will also go towards getting students to environmental conference, such as the annual Wildlife Society and the American Fisheries’ Society conference. These conferences are a great way for students to meet in-person professionals and make connections that can help while in school or after graduation.
